RV Insurance FAQs
Straight answers to the questions RV owners ask us most.
Is RV insurance required in Maryland?
Motorhomes registered in Maryland must carry the same minimum liability coverage as a car. Towable trailers often get liability from the vehicle towing them, but need their own policy to cover damage to the trailer.
Can I insure an RV I live in full time?
Yes. Full-timer coverage adds liability and personal property protection similar to a homeowners policy for people who live in their RV.
Does my auto policy cover my travel trailer?
Your auto policy may extend liability while you tow, but it usually does not pay to repair or replace the trailer itself. A separate RV policy covers that.
